You keep your existing business phone number. Simply set up call forwarding with your phone provider (Bell, Rogers, Telus, etc.) to forward unanswered calls to your Vocatively AI line. We support landlines, cellphones, and VoIP systems (Vonage, RingCentral, Grasshopper, and more). Most businesses use "forward on busy/no answer" so the AI only picks up when staff can't. After you sign up, your dashboard has step-by-step instructions for your specific phone type.
Yes. Vocatively works alongside your current phone number — you don't need to change it. We provide a dedicated AI phone line that your existing number forwards to. Your callers continue reaching the same number they always have.
Yes. Solo operators and small businesses often use a personal cellphone. You can set up conditional forwarding so the AI only answers when you don't pick up. One thing to note: if you forward ALL calls from your cell, the AI cannot transfer calls back to that same number (forwarding loop). We recommend "forward on no answer" — your dashboard will walk you through the exact codes for your carrier.
Vocatively works with all major VoIP providers including Vonage, RingCentral, 8x8, Grasshopper, Google Voice, and Microsoft Teams Phone. VoIP forwarding is set up through your admin portal (not star codes). Your dashboard includes step-by-step guides for each provider, including tips on disabling call screening prompts that can interfere with AI answering.

Not at this time. Quebec’s Law 25 (privacy) and Bill 96 (French language) require full French-language service and additional privacy safeguards that we have not yet implemented.
